My journey into aromatherapy began in my mother’s kitchen. I was fascinated by her spice cabinet, and while she encouraged me to explore the scents and tastes of all that was contained in that wonderful cabinet, we had an agreement. If I used anything from that cabinet in cooking, I had to eat whatever I created. Well, needless to say, there was many a night that she would come home to find me sitting at the table staring dejectedly at my dinner plate. The saying around the house was “if she can’t eat it, it isn’t edible.”

However, that did not stop me from experimenting. Along the way, my curiosity often got the better of me and sometimes I would return home covered in hives not knowing what I had gotten into. I would try an essential oil or herbal poultice just to see what would happen.

My foray into aromatics became a mission.

Later, as I grew older, you could find me sitting out on a ledge looking over a valley or crawling along a dry streambed seeking out the mysteries of the land. What I discovered was an amazing world, searching the high desert in ways many seldom have the opportunity to get to experience. Eventually, I began to conduct research on the local plants and their essential components and found I was deeply interested in learning more, always searching for more information on the effects of plants and their essential oils on skin care and everyday living.

Along this wonderful journey of life, my friends and family have supported my creativity with essential oils and their amazing properties. While they sometimes laugh and tease me, they are the first ones to call.

I am a seeker. I embrace my passion, and strive to share with others my calling to Aromatherapy and all of its joys.
